2 The story the Bible tells Episode 2 introduces kids to what is in the Bible. They will learn about 3 central themes of God’s love, man’s fall and separation, and God’s plan in Jesus to bring us back into relationship with Him. 3 Introducing God's word Here kids will learn how the Bible can guide them personally in their daily lives and has the power to change their hearts from the inside-out. 4 Applying God's word Kids will learn the connection between God’s word and the effectiveness of their prayers. When they pray according to God’s will and through faith in Him then powerful things can happen. Kids will learn how to apply God’s word to their own lives through prayer and faith. 5 We have a choice Kids will learn that God created them with a free will. This allows them to choose to receive His love and the gift of Jesus which can transform their lives from the inside-out. Kids will learn about the choice to receive Jesus as their Lord and Friend and the beautiful transformation that takes place if they do. Romans 12:2, John 3:16, Galatians 5:22-23 Responsibility
6 Wrong choices Kids will learn about the problem of sin and how it effects them and their world. They will learn about God’s rescue plan and how they can receive his forgiveness through believing in Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins. To help kids understand what sin is, know how it effects us, and discover God’s solution to the sin problem. Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:5, Romans 6:23 Responsibility
7 Overcoming sin This episode shows kids how God has provided keys in the Bible and empowerment through the Holy Spirit to help them avoid and overcome sin. When they do make mistakes though, they can always find complete forgiveness in Jesus. To help kids understand how to overcome the power and influence of sin in their lives. 8 Redemption and salvation This episode covers the meaning of redemption and salvation and explains how kids can choose to receive those gifts in their lives. 9 Faith and God's promises Kids will learn that faith is believing that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. God is faithful to His promises and we can trust Him. To teach kids about faith and the promises of God. Philippians 4:19, Psalm 121:7, Philippians 4:7 Integrity
10 God will keep his promises This episode is full of true stories about God’s promises being fulfilled for people as they believed Him and stepped out in faith. Kids will discover how to experience God using His great power to help them with problems they face. Kids will understand that God is faithful to keep His promises and is willing to use His great power to bring these promises to pass in their lives. Exodus 2:24, Matthew 21:22 Integrity
11 The old covenant This episode look at the concept of covenant, particularly the covenant God made with Old Testament man. This covenant was imperfect, but made the way for the new covenant to come through Jesus. To explain to kids the concept of covenant, placing emphasis on the strength of God’s commitment to a covenant. 2 Corinthians 1:20, Genesis 17:1-2, Matthew 5:17
12 The new covenant This episode explains the differences between the Old and New Covenants. Kids will see the requirements for us to be part of the New Covenant, the benefits we will receive, and the faithfulness of God to keep those promises. That kids will know the requirements of being party to the New Covenant and the blessings/benefits this will bring. 13 Love your neighbour Kids will learn how Jesus taught that the most important thing is to love God, others, and yourself. He helps us to love like God loves by growing that love inside of us through His Holy Spirit. To show kids the importance of loving their neighbour. 14 Experiencing God In this Episode kids will learn that there is so much more available for them than just information about God and His existence. God wants them to experience His reality and have a personal relationship with Him. To show kids that not only is the Bible true, but they can actually experience God by having a personal relationship with Him. Isaiah 54:17, Phil 4:19, Psalm 121:1
15 Receiving by faith This episode teaches that we have the choice to believe what God has promised instead of just looking at our situation. When we combine our faith with the promises of God we can see amazing things happen. Kids will understand that if they choose to believe what God says, they can exercise their faith and receive His promises into their lives. John 10:10, Isaiah 40:29, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Hebrews 4:2
16 Kingdom of God: New creations! This episode is the first in a series about the Kingdom of God. Kids are encouraged to choose whether they will stay where they are or enter into God’s kingdom and His promises for their lives. help kids understand what it is like to live in the Kingdom of God and what it means to be a new person on the inside. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Mark 10:14, Galatians 2:20
17 Kingdom of God: Join the family! In episode 2 of our “Kingdom of God” series kids will learn what it means to have Jesus as their Lord. They will also learn what it means that the gift of Jesus’ righteousness brings them into a relationship with God and into his family. Kids will understand these aspects of the Kingdom of God: the Lordship of Jesus, the family of God, the free gift of Jesus’ righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 1:12, 1 John 3:1
18 Kingdom of God: The ultimate helper In episode 3 of our “Kingdom of God” series we will look at how God has made a way to provide for all our needs in this new kingdom. Particular emphasis is on the gift of the Holy Spirit - God’s presence with us and in us. That kids will get excited about the prospect of joining the Kingdom of God. 19 Kingdom of God: Kingdom toolbox In episode 4 of our “Kingdom of God” series kids will see how God has given them “tools” to create change in their lives. Kids will learn how to apply God’s promises and their own faith to bring God’s kingdom into their life situations. Kids will understand the concept of a “Kingdom Toolbox” and how to apply these tools to impact areas of their lives that they want to see change. 20 Kingdom of God: Make the leap! This is the final episode in our “Kingdom of God” series where we look at the “Big Decision” we all get to make - will we enter God’s kingdom or not? The specifics of how to enter this kingdom are clearly explained. Kids will understand the process of moving into the Kingdom of God and will want to do this. Ephesians 1:5, Colossians 1:13
21 The Christian life This episode looks at the spiritual journey we take after we become a Christian. Kids will learn that with God’s spirit as their guide they are able to keep growing through this new adventure to become more like Jesus. Kids will understand that the Christian life is a journey and we grow to be more like Christ throughout our lives. Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 13:13, John 10:10
22 God has a plan for you This episode looks at God’s plans for each of our lives. He sees our potential and works in the circumstances of our lives to see His plans come to pass if we will trust Him and follow His lead. The children will understand that the Christian life is a journey. God’s plan is that we grow continually throughout our life to be more like Jesus. Ephesians 2:10, Numbers 12:3, Jeremiah 29:11
23 The truth about who you are Kids will learn that the beliefs they have about themselves will effect their feelings and in turn, the choices they make and the things they do. They will see how they can use God’s word as a tool to change how they see themselves and to start believing what God believes about them. For kids to understand that God’s word can be used as a tool to lift their self-image and build self-esteem. Isaiah 55:11, Philippians 4:13, Romans 8:37, 1 John 3:1, Psalm 139:14
24 Sowing and reaping This episode helps us to know what God In Episode 24 kids will learn about the principle of sowing and reaping. They will see that what they choose to “plant” in their lives through thoughts, words, and actions will produce good or bad outcomes depending on the “seed”. about us and how we can think about ourselves in the same way. That the kids would understand the concept of sowing and reaping = giving and receiving. Galatians 6:7, Galatians 6:9, Ruth 1:16-17
25 Jesus: Why Jesus came to earth In Episode 1 of the “Jesus Series” kids will learn why Jesus had to come to earth and live a human life. They will hear the importance of understanding this and how they can choose to respond to what Jesus did. That kids will understand why Jesus had to come to earth and why He came both as God and as man. John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21
26 Jesus: The problems Jesus solved In Episode 2 of the “Jesus Series” kids will see a brief overview of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. They will understand how Jesus has solved the “separation from God” problem and how they can personally receive this solution in their own lives. Kids will understand what it means to them personally, that Jesus solved the problem of man’s separation from God. Acts 16:31, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:16,
27 Jesus: The great exchange In Episode 3 of the “Jesus Series” we cover the great exchange that Jesus made for us on the cross. In particular we look at how He exchanged sin for righteousness, punishment for forgiveness, sickness for healing, poverty for abundance, rejection for acceptance, and anxiety for joy and peace. Kids will understand that when Jesus died and rose again He not only paid the price for sin, but He also set us free from everything associated with sin - “The Great Exchange”. Mark 11:23, John 8:36
28 Jesus: Our identity in Christ In Episode 4 of the “Jesus Series” kids will learn that because of Jesus and what He has done, they can see themselves as God sees them. Their identity can now be in Jesus. The Holy Spirit can help them grow in the Fruits of the Spirit and create change from the inside-out. Kids will understand what they will receive when they find their identity in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 12
29 Jesus vs sin In Episode 5 of the “Jesus Series” we will look at what it means when the Bible calls Jesus the Saviour of the world. Kids will learn what sin is and why they need Jesus to be their personal Saviour. Kids will learn that Jesus offered a solution to the “problem of sin” that had plagued humanity since the beginning of time. John 3:16, Romans 6:7, 1 John 1:9, Romans 3:23, Romans 8:38-39
30 Jesus is King In Episode 6 of the “Jesus Series” kids will learn that Jesus is our King, but He is a different kind of King than any other. The main emphasis is on His unconditional love and willingness to sacrifice His life for ours. Kids will be challenged to have the same love for others as Jesus has for them. Kids will discover that Jesus is a different kind of King. John 15:13, John 13:34
31 Jesus’ present day ministry This episode focuses on the ministry Jesus has today. Many of these roles are similar and have to do with Jesus acting on our behalf to see that the promises of God to us when we believe are guaranteed and will be carried out. He is active and working for our good all the time. That children would discover that Jesus treated people different to anyone they have ever known. That Jesus is different to anyone they have ever known. Romans 10:9, Romans 8:31, 1 John 2:2, 1 Corinthians 1:30, Hebrews 7:25
32 The Holy Spirit is here to help In Episode 1 of the “Holy Spirit” series kids will learn that the Holy Spirit is our Helper, Guide, and Teacher. God’s power helps us live the best life possible through the Holy Spirit in us. Kids will find out how they can have the Holy Spirit living in their lives. Kids will understand that when we enter the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit lives in us and be our Helper. Psalm 23, John 10:10, Romans 10:9, 2 Corinthians 1:22,
33 The Holy Spirit changes us on the inside In Episode 2 of the “Holy Spirit” series kids will hear about how the Holy Spirit works on the inside of us. He plants spiritual seeds that grow to become the fruit that changes how we live our lives. Through the Holy Spirit we can become more like Jesus. That kids will further understand how the Holy Spirit helps us. John 14:16, Galatians 5:22-23
34 Bullying is not ok Episode 34 begins a 2 Part series on Bullying. Kids will learn to identify different forms of bullying and the damaging effects it has on our lives. They will learn to see themselves and others as valuable and loved by God and encouraged to speak out and ask for help. Kids will understand why bullying is wrong and how it can harm people. 35 Say no to bullying This is Part 2 of our series on Bullying. We look at how we can play a part in stopping it and standing up for those who are being bullied. We also cover how kids can receive help from God when they are being bullied. Kids will understand that, rather than bullying people, we should lift them up. 36 Prayer is talking with God This episode is all about Prayer. Kids will learn what prayer is and how it can help them in their relationship with God. Kids will understand that prayer is relational - we talk to God and God talks to us. 1 Corinthians 1:9, 1 John 1:3, Psalm 145:18, James 4:2
37 Guard your heart In this episode kids will learn about how to protect and care for the person they are on the inside. Words have a powerful effect on our lives. Kids are encouraged to be careful about what words they put in and what words they speak over themselves. Kids will learn to guard their own hearts with all of their might. 38 Making the right decisions This episode looks at the importance of making good decisions in our lives. It is based around the idea that our future isn’t shaped nearly as much by what happens to us as by the decisions that we make. Kids are encouraged to ask God for help and trust Him in their decision-making processes. Kids will understand the difference between making decisions on their own and making decisions with God. 39 What is Christmas actually about? In this episode we focus on the “real” meaning of Christmas. This is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus who was God’s gift to all people. Kids will learn how they can receive the gift of Jesus into their lives. Kids will understand God’s gift to us at Christmas - Jesus. John 3:16, Revelation 3:20
40 What is Easter actually about? This episode helps kids understand that Easter is when we remember that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected on the third day. This opened up the way for us to receive all the good things He offers us through the “Great Exchange”. Kids will understand the exchange that took place and is celebrated at Easter. 1 John 3:5, Isaiah 53:5
